Manchester United's inconsistency in this season was allegedly a conspiracy for manager Jose Mourinho to be fired. The assessment was delivered by former Tottenham Hotspur striker Mido.
Mido took the example when Mourinho still won Chelsea in the 2015/2016 season, where the London team's performance dropped dramatically.
In fact, in the previous season, Mourinho successfully brought the Blues Premier League champions. Finally, the Portuguese manager was sacked in mid-December 2015 after the Blues lost nine of 16 Premier League matches.
Mido judged that this was what happened to MU. Where the players started playing halfheartedly to get rid of Mourinho from Old Trafford.
"I feel sorry for Mourinho. I know he has made mistakes and not dealt with the media in the best way, especially in difficult times," Mido told Sky Sports.
"It's like the way Chelsea players have played in the last seven or eight matches there. I'm sure the players want it out, because right after Mou leaves, they start playing better. Now I can see the same thing happening."
